HIT The Third Case (2025) English Subtitle - Nani Shines in HIT 3’s Dark Cult Crime Drama
As a long-time follower of the HIT franchise, I found HIT: The Third Case a bold and gritty entry that pushes the boundaries of the Indian thriller genre. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu and headlined by Nani, this Telugu-language action thriller blends dark web conspiracies, ruthless justice, and undercover missions into a gripping cinematic experience.
Nani delivers a powerhouse performance as SP Arjun Sarkaar IPS, a character layered with emotional trauma, moral ambiguity, and unrelenting purpose. His brutal decisions, such as committing murders to infiltrate the deadly CTK cult, add a deeply psychological twist to the story. The transformation from a perceived criminal to a calculated hero is gripping and makes Arjun a standout anti-hero in Telugu cinema.
The storyline is intense, set against the chilling backdrop of organ harvesting and ritualistic killings by a secretive cult. What initially feels like another procedural murder mystery escalates into a high-stakes mission involving deep infiltration, sacrifice, and poetic justice. The film builds momentum slowly, but once it enters the CTK hideout sequences, the narrative becomes an adrenaline rush. I was especially moved by the emotional twist involving ACP Dhanya Mohan, who sacrifices herself for a child, giving the story a haunting, heroic layer.
Srinidhi Shetty plays ASP Mrudula IPS with great poise, adding both emotional depth and professional intrigue to Arjun’s arc. Mickey J. Meyer's score heightens the tension in crucial scenes, and Sanu Varghese’s cinematography captures the harsh beauty of Jammu, Visakhapatnam, and the eerie Burmese Palace.
While the film’s pace could have been tighter, and the script has a few loose threads, HIT 3 manages to hold attention with its emotional core and shocking reveals. The final twist involving Samuel Joseph and the CTK’s connection to global pharmaceutical trafficking adds a chilling realism.
With a box office haul of ₹120 crore, HIT: The Third Case stands as one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2025. A darker, more ambitious sequel, HIT: The Fourth Case, has already been teased—and I’m more than ready.
