Jack (2025) English Subtitle - Spy Action Comedy Jack Falls Flat Despite Good Music

Jack, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, is a 2025 Telugu-language spy action comedy that attempts to blend humor, action, and self-discovery but unfortunately ends up being more confusing than captivating. Starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda as Jackson alias Pablo Neruda, the film tries to ride on his energetic screen presence, but lacks the script strength to support it.

The film introduces us to Pablo Neruda, a jack-of-all-trades and master of none. Constantly switching interests and professions, he’s the embodiment of today’s indecisive dreamers. Siddhu plays this part with trademark charm, but the writing fails to give his character depth or a believable arc. The plot—centered around Jack stumbling into a spy mission—is far-fetched and filled with tonal inconsistencies.

Vaishnavi Chaitanya plays Amina, a character that starts off strong but fades into a generic love interest without much to do. Prakash Raj, usually a powerhouse performer, is underutilized in a role that doesn’t explore his acting range. Comedians like Brahmaji and Naresh add occasional laughs, but they aren’t enough to lift the film’s lagging middle act.

Visually, the movie benefits from Vijay K. Chakravarthy’s cinematography—especially in the Nepal segments—but even that feels wasted in a film that doesn’t quite know what it wants to be. Navin Nooli’s editing tries to maintain pace, but with such scattered storytelling, the film feels longer than its runtime.

The soundtrack, composed by Achu Rajamani, Suresh Bobbili, and Sam CS, has a couple of catchy numbers like “Pablo Neruda” and “Kiss,” but they aren’t memorable enough to leave a lasting impact.

Despite an ambitious setup, Jack fails to deliver either solid laughs or edge-of-the-seat action. With a box office return of ₹9 crore, the film struggled both critically and commercially. It’s a movie that had potential but ultimately feels like a missed opportunity.
