Paramasivan Fathima (2025) English Subtitle - Horror, Faith & Dual Identity 👁️ 👻

Paramasivan Fathima (2025) is a Tamil-language horror thriller directed, written, and produced by Esakki Karvannan under Lakshmi Creations. Starring Vimal as Paramasivan and Chayadevi in a dual role as Fathima/Tamilselvi, the film dares to explore intense themes of spirituality, guilt, and transformation. Despite mixed expectations, the movie released on 6 June 2025 to mostly negative reviews—but it has gained curiosity among Tamil cinema fans 🎥.

The story revolves around Paramasivan, a man torn between faith and past mistakes, and Fathima, whose identity carries a shocking duality 😱. M. S. Bhaskar shines in a serious role as a church father, while Manoj Kumar as Salim and Cool Suresh as “Dubai” Raja add depth and texture to the eerie narrative 🌒.

🎼 The soundtrack, composed by Deepan Chakravarthy, is a highlight. The song “Naa Malli”, released on 9 May 2025, became a modest hit online. Other tracks like "Kadu Enga Veedu" and "Oru Thalatu" blend folk and haunting elements perfectly. The lyrics by Ekadesi carry emotional weight and spiritual tones. With vocals by Saindhavi, Priya Himesh, and others, the music balances fear with soul 💿.

Cinematography by Myna Sukumar captures dim-lit alleyways and sacred interiors with finesse. Editor Buvan ensures the 142-minute runtime doesn’t feel dragging, although some scenes could’ve used tighter pacing ✂️.

While critics weren’t impressed due to its uneven screenplay and inconsistent thrills, fans of horror-thriller genres might find it a unique watch for its bold religious themes and psychological depth 🔍. Esakki Karvannan’s direction, though ambitious, struggles to fully land the suspense. However, it marks a sincere attempt to blend horror with Tamil cultural backdrops 🕌.

Despite its flaws, Paramasivan Fathima stands out in 2025 for its original concept, powerful score, and memorable performances by Vimal and Chayadevi 🎭.
