The story of Bhaskar Oru Rascal (2018) is based on a business tycoon named Bhaskar. His father, M. A.M. Rangasamy is a retired businessman and retires from his business life, handing over his textile business as well as the real estate business to his son Basker.

Basker runs his business according to the behavior of various individuals, threatening and harassing. This behavior eventually earned him the nickname Rascal. Basker is considered a widow and his son's name is Akash. Also, according to the story of the film, Akash and Shivani study in the same class in the same school so they become friends.

Shivani's mother Anu is divorced and living a single life. Basker and Anu, who come to school for their son's business, get into a fight for some reason. One day, Basker travels with Akash to a party where an actress named Kalyani is the chief guest. Here Kalyani tells the media that she has started a love affair with a widowed businessman. Since Basker is coming to the festival while she is making this statement, this incident is causing some confusion among the journalists. They misunderstand Baskar as Kalyani's boyfriend.
