Street Lights (2018) Review & Story
A cinematic masterpiece, this film opens with an action-packed chase sequence, where two security guards are frantically chasing two burglars who are disguised with masks. In a shocking turn of events, they end up getting beaten up by a third, unknown thief. Dejected, they retreat to their hideout and reluctantly admit that they failed to break into the safe but were, nevertheless, successful in nabbing a rare and priceless necklace worth a staggering Rs. 5 crore, which they snatched from the homeowner's neck.
The terrified homeowners promptly summon their nephew James, a brave and resourceful police detective, to investigate the matter. The cunning thieves are relentlessly pursued by the determined police force, but the second thief named Sachi manages to stash the necklace away in a bag. As fate would have it, the bag is later stumbled upon by a young boy named Mani.
As the suspense-filled story unfolds, James uncovers startling revelations that lead him to believe that the third thief, Murugan, is a notorious criminal with a bitter grudge against James, stemming from the fact that James had killed Murugan's elder brother, Manimaran, in the past. The fast-paced action continues to build up until the necklace finally reaches James's hands. In a gripping climax, James catches Murugan and confronts him, ultimately putting him down in a final showdown.
This thrilling film will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The breathtaking chase scenes, intense action sequences, and masterful storytelling make for a truly enthralling viewing experience that will leave you wanting more.
