Alluri Sitarama Raju is considered to be a revolutionary leader who fought against the British Empire based in Andhra Pradesh, India between 1897 and 1924. For many years he organized and fought against the British and finally after two years of great effort managed to capture Alluri Ramaraju from the British near the Chintapalle forest. On May 7, 1924, King Alluri Rama was shot dead by the British in a village in the village of Koyyuru. At the same time, his general Ghantam Dora was assassinated on June 6, 1924, and his brother Mallam Dora was arrested and imprisoned. After the independence of India, he was elected as a Member of the Indian Parliament.

The film also stars Ajay Devgn in the role of Rama Raju's father, while Rama Alia Bhatt plays the role of Sita as well as Rama Raju's niece and girlfriend. Alison Doody plays Catherine Buxton, Olivia Morris plays Jenny, Chatrapathi Sekhar plays Jango, Makarand Deshpande plays Peddanna and Bhim's a friend. Rajeev Kanakala will play the role of Venkat Awadhani, another Nizam's mentors, Rahul Ramakrishna will play the role of Lachu, and Edward Sonnenblick will play the role of Edward in the film. Ahmareen Anjum will play the role of Loki's younger brother's mother. Twinkle Sharma will play the role of Malli in the film while Chakri will play the role of Chinna as well as Rama Raju's brother in the film. Film director S. S. Rajamouli also plays a minor role.

RRR Telugu Film 2022 Story

In 1920, British Governor Scott Buxton and his wife, Catherine Buxton, abducted a Gond girl from the Adilabad jungle area because of her potential. The leader of the tribe, Komaram Bhim, and his comrades then return to Delhi in search of her and launch a special operation to take her back to Adilabad. Meanwhile, an adviser to the Nizam of Hyderabad came to the governor's office in the absence of the Scott governor and informed the British authorities about Bhim and his associates, warning them to return the abducted girl to the tribes. But British officials despised him and ignored the warning. But at one point, they hand over the task of capturing Komaram Bhim and his comrades to A. Ramaraju, another indigenous police officer serving under British colonial rule. Ramaraju voluntarily accepts this job because he is determined to get a promotion and do a special job for his country. 

An incident in the film depicts Rama Raju's father as a revolutionary who fights for Rama Raju's independence from British imperialism. Venkata Ramaraju, who is trying to start a free war against the British by giving arms training to his people and giving them weapons, is eventually assassinated by the British troops. Before he dies, he obtains a promise from Rama Raju, where he promises to arm all civilians with weapons and launch a war of attrition against the British.
