"Vallamai" (transl. Strength) is a 2025 Tamil-language drama written, directed, and produced by Karuppaiyaa Murugan under the Battlers Cinema banner. The film stars Premgi Amaren and Dhivadarshini in leading roles and attempts to tell a story of revenge, trauma, and emotional resilience.

Premgi Amaren plays Saravanan, marking a serious departure from his usual comedic roles, while Dhivadarshini portrays Boomika, a woman dealing with the emotional aftermath of a tragic event. Despite their sincere performances, the film falters in execution.

While the film opens with promise, capturing glimpses of the rural-to-urban emotional shift, it quickly veers into melodramatic and poorly handled territory. The screenplay struggles to maintain a cohesive tone. Emotional transitions feel forced, and the central revenge plot loses credibility as it leans into awkward humor and implausibility.

Technically, the film features Sooraj Nallusami’s cinematography and editing by C Ganesh Kumar, but even their efforts can’t salvage the film's choppy flow. The music by GKV, especially the song “Magale En Magale” sung by Venkat Prabhu, is one of the film’s few bright spots.

Critical reception has been lukewarm to negative, with critics citing weak screenplay and immature scene handling as major issues. While the film aims to deliver a meaningful social message, its lack of narrative polish and emotional depth leaves it underwhelming.
