The story follows Stephy (aka Anna), a spirited bride-to-be who escapes her house after her groom goes missing. On her impulsive journey, she crosses paths with Sidharth (Siddhu), a 40-something rich, carefree bachelor. Indrajith Sukumaran delivers a charming performance as Siddhu, balancing comedy and sensitivity. Anaswara Rajan, as Stephy, shows confidence and spark, although some moments feel underexplored. Supporting roles from Dayyana Hameed, Rosin Jolly, and Biju Pappan provide occasional comic relief.

The film thrives on its breezy screenplay, colorful visuals by Pradeep Nair, and P.S. Jayahari’s feel-good music. The chemistry between the lead pair is subtle and relatable, offering a refreshing break from loud rom-com tropes. 🎶🌸

However, Mr & Mrs Bachelor isn’t without flaws. The pacing drags in parts, and some emotional beats lack depth. The film was also shadowed by a controversy, with director Deepu Karunakaran accusing Anaswara Rajan of skipping promotional duties. Despite the public spat, the issue was amicably resolved through AMMA and FEFKA just before release.

Released in theatres on 23 May 2025, after multiple delays, the movie may not redefine the genre, but it certainly makes for a light-hearted weekend watch for fans of gentle rom-coms with a dash of drama. 💫
