THE MONKEY KING 3 2018 Story

The Monkey King 3, the sequel to The Monkey King 1 and 2, depicts a chain of events between a Buddhist monk named Xuanzhuang on his way to India and Ceylon in search of Buddhist texts. The monkey king Sun Wukong also accompanies the monk on this journey. This is due to a gift given by the angel of forgiveness to get rid of the sinful deeds committed by the monkey king. If Wukong saves the Buddhist monk from various dangers during this long and arduous journey, the goddess of forgiveness promises to return to Kong, forgiving him of his sins and giving him all the privileges in return.

The other two monks who assisted the Xuanzhuang Buddhist monk on this journey were his students Bajie and Wujing. Zhu Bajie is portrayed in this story as a pig demon.
